Clinical research facility

CRS research unit is a Joint Commission-approved facility that currently occupies the South and East wings of the eigth floor in the North Hospital on the MCV Campus. This unit contains 11 inpatient research beds, outpatient exam rooms, rooms for specialized testing and quiet places for completing questionnaires or interviews. The unit cares for individuals from young children to geriatrics and is equipped with telemetry. It is open Monday through Friday and can stay open on the weekend depending on need.

The CRS may be utilized for Phase I through IV studies. It has been designated as a Phase I and II approved site by the Western IRB, eliminating the need for a site-specific review.
